With a set list for a 1500 shooty Kabalite army which consists of the typical kabalite warriors, blasters, ravagers, razorwing jetfighters, venoms and raiders which is a flayed skull batallion and a blackheart spear head, what would be a good 500 point detachment to bring the list to 2k?
This could be a cult, a coven or craftworld allies, some ideas that come into mind are a red grief batallion, dark reapers spearhead, a bunch of shining spears or even a wraith knight i guess,
so in your people's opnions, what would a good detachment be to help supplement a mech shooty kabal list?

Well, I dont have the codex with me.
But I'd take a basic 10 men Warrior squad with 1 darklance, 2 blasters and 1 pistol with dark matter shots. This comes out at 124 pts.
Three such units and two plain Archons are 532 pts.

apologies if the question was not clear, but I was asking for a 500 point detachment that is not Kabalite that would go well with the 1500 Kabal army that I currently have, this could be a cult, coven, craftworlds etc.

467 Points, Zoom up turn 1 and pray to whatever it is Dark Eldar pray to these days that you survive or they take enough shooting so they can't shoot at the chewy centre. Turn 2 disembark 3"+base, move 8", Advance D6 and charge. With enough bodies to protect the shardnets you have a good chance of trapping whatever it is you charged for 2 turns.

Dropping the useless upgrades nets you a total of 49 points for a pair of Medeusae or Sslyth for your archon.

I would second Bacon Cat's suggestions - except I'd bring only one Succubus, put a Glaive on her, and trim back a lot of the excess points to either bring a few more Wyches or to buff up the Kabal side of things.

A Haem with electro whip, some Wracks in a Raider, and 2x Talos also comes in pretty close to 500 with some points to spice it up as you prefer. The Talos will serve as a good distraction from your enemy shooting up your Kabal tools.

Warlock on bike, farseer on bike, 3 x5 rangers 400ish point battalion giving you access to doom jinx and some psychic defence. Oh and 5cp for your troubles.
