Any way to mitigate the "shade" from glimmering in the light? QUickshade is great but the wash creates this glistening effect to the entire miniature you dip it in after it's dry. Is this only for shiny armor or is there a way to make the shade actually shady?

Either spray on matt, or brush on if you wanted to leave some parts shiny

Yeah, it's a gloss varnish. Apply a matte finish after the fact, or a satin finish to have something between glossy and matte.
