Subject: Cheapest stackable containers with carry handle for miniature storage?
So I'm getting into Guard, and I haven't purchased anything to transport my miniatures in yet. One thing that did catch my attention was plastic storage containers by Snapware that snapped on top of each other and had a carry handle... But they are kinda pricy- about $30 for a pair or them. There was another brand, Sterilite, but the containers were small. I plan on bolting some metal to the bottom of the containers and gluing magnets to the models. Any ideas? Thanks!!!
Life posed its challenges. The Emperor gave us Punisher Cannons.

ive had an idea to buy a cooler with a little handle and wheels. maybe add like a wood board inside to make another level. then screw in some metal sheets on the bottom and on the middle board. buy a bunch of magnets and glue them under the bases. this is just a thought tho havent actually done it

I've bought one Feldherr carboard box which has 72x 25mm slots and a bit for tanks or monsters. That was £20 from Chaos Cards (was slight more expensive at first than Amazon, but they do monthly discounts on top).
That was good so far. I bought it for a mix of my old 25mm base Chaos space marines and cultists. The 25mm gaps are fine for Space Marines with 25mm bases, but for Berzerkers or those warriors with swords held high it's a bit of a tight fit. Probably the larger ones might be better, but for 95% of my 25mm bases they're fine.
For the cardboard boxes, you can get several and put them in another carry case.

Oh, my friend is a guard player so it's perfect for his million little men. Any chance you can try out a fit with a 32mm base unit? Legitimate concern of mine.

I have a Snapware set I use for transporting tanks. Mine has 3 levels and it fits 2 Land Raiders side by side with room to spare on each level.
$30 is expensive. I think I saw that price originally on Amazon, but it was a lot less on Target. I might have paid $12 with shipping.
So you might want to look around. Snapware generally includes cardboard inserts that might save you from having to use magnets.
If you have a home depot nearby, give the rigid pro boxes a try.
22" medium is large enough to safely and comfortably store 4 knight titans, even has a little top bit for dice, pens etc. The 'top organizer' carries 60 scions and 4 taurox. Comes with 3 sections with easily removable dividers and 6 tubs. I took out the tubs and one divider. Cheap and sturdy. Only downside is the smell initially. Throw an air freshener in there when you furst get them.
Best part is that they latch together super easily.
