Anyone know off hand of any units featured in any of the codices that got rules but have no official model?

Yup, Chaos Space Marine Exalted Champion. Similarly, the Space Marine Lieutenant.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Y'all have a very rigid definition of an official model. It should be "can I make the model using a GW kit with all the options?" not "does it say lieutenant or whatever".

Yup, Chaos Space Marine Exalted Champion. Similarly, the Space Marine Lieutenant.

Don't those just use the captain/lord kits? Or even tac kits?

Don't know about Tsons, but the ogryn is built from the ogryn kit. And rough riders no longer have codex rules.

Grandmaster dude in baby carrier?

It's the dreadknight kit.

The question wasn't what can't be kit bashed (anything can be kitbashed), the question was what units don't have official kits.

At any rate I'm surprised no one has mentioned astra militarum crusaders.

To those that say there is no stupid questions I say, "Is this a stupid question?"

Crusaders have models and building a kit and saying "this guy is a lieutenant" isn't kit bashing. Same for the GMDK, there are plain shields and decorative shields in the box - job done.

Occult Terminator Sorcerers ABSOLUTELY have its kit inside the box. I literally just built on two weeks ago.

Also, Exalted Champion is now the Aspiring Champion model. It's by no chance that the model has a power axe, and the standard weapon for a champion is power axe.

Lots of SW HQs don't have an official model. There isn't a single variant of wolf priest in the GW catalogue. To play a lone wolf you must use a regular power armor guy or a terminator. There aren't official models of wolf guards on bikes, jump packs on even on foot as well.

Ulrik the Slayer exists as a pewter model.

No Mega Armor Warboss model unless you use Ghazz's model and there isn't a Warboss on Bike unless you use the named Ork biker boss from Forge World. Granted Orks don't have a proper codex yet but I would be extremely suprised if they release both a plastic biker and plastic Mega armor boss at the same time.

Armies (7th edition points)
7000+ Points Death Skullz
4000 Points
+ + 3000 Points "The Fiery Heart of the Emperor"
3500 Points "Void Kraken" Space Marines
3000 Points "Bard's Booze Cruise"

I'd go the opposite route. They'll probably make those options Legacy, like how they did with the biker options for Chaos Marines. No codex entries, but index makes them legal still.

Forgeworld entries are far worse than normal GW. Half the time in fact, it's because its something for a horus heresy model. There is a special warpsmith HQ choice variant that is a horus heresey character model.

Sorcerer, not Aspiring Sorcerer. Ones an HQ choice, the others a squad leader.
