I'm working on a conversion for a Necron character carrying the Veil of Darkness relic.

I'm basing it on Knight of Shrouds:

He looks kinda nice, should be able to work as a Necron lord, and has enough cloth on him that he is easily identified on the board as the one carrying the Veil.

I plan to have magnetized heads, one lord's head and one cryptek's head, cryptek heads are quite different from other necron heads.

Also plan to have the Staff of light in a magnetized right hand, interchangable with a Warscythe, thouse two being the most common weapon options. Perhaps also the two swords, we'll see.

I'm not sure what to have in his left hand. The orb is somewhat boring at this point. Not sure what else a Necron character might carry around.

This is what I have gotten around to so far:

I have attached necron bits from the Obelisk/Vault set to the outside of the cloth:

Plan to put him on this base (was the nicest resin base I had lying around that could fit):

Happy to have any C&C, I'm currently wondering what to do with the left hand, how to further necronify him (ie add small bits here and there), and how to paint him, particularly make the square bits stand out nicely from the cloth.

That’s a really cool idea!

Not got any suggestions though, sorry!

Thanks.

I'm leaning towards letting him hold a broken servo skull in his left hand. It's an iconic peculiar little thing, so why not. I refuse to create yet another orb holding necron.

Here's a sample image of s Necron Lord holding a servo skull:

My pose will be very different of course
