Hey gang,

Labor of love finally finished, something I've wanted to do ever since I discovered the Cerastus Knight Lancer: a lunging spear-devil of Chaos with an electric hex shield. Finished it up this week, enjoy!

Magnificient, that mat black is perfect, and enhances the light effects on the lance and eyes.

Great work on the action pose! I wish I could afford a knight of any kind but they are too expensive for me. I can usually only afford squads and other small stuff.

Thanks! It doesn't come with anything in the shield, which I always thought looked a bit odd. The hex grid is string, saturated with super glue, and coated with thick craft paint

Absolutely, but it’s a pretty short list:

The bulk of the Knight is as-it-comes from the FW Cerastus Knight Lancer kit

The shoulder chaos stars, and the forward shin star, are leftovers from the Chaos Reaver Titan kit, the rest of the Chaos lines are green stuff

The teeth, shield hexes, and banner are scratch built

The skull symbol on the carapace is from the Dark Apostle mini

The eagle on the base is an old, broken trophy topper

That is absolutely fantastic! I don't know how you could bare to have it in that position though; if he falls over that Lancer will disintigrate (I know from personal experience).

Great question. I practiced with a plastic Kytan Daemon Engine last year. The trick is to anchor the foot really far back on the oval base, so that his center of gravity remains over the base. They fall over once that center of gravity leaves the base, or gets too close to the edge and they get bumped. He's actually quite solid, at least moreso than several other models I've tried
