I keep seeing OpSec mentioned in threads. Where are the rules for OpSec? I've looked all through the main rule book and can't fine them.

In the rules for what you get if your detachments are pure of a codex. The same place they tell you what chapter tactics and what not.

Obsec = generic name for each army's objective-securing troop rule. Tau have Warriors of the Greater Good, for example. This is in each codex, or in Chapter Approved if you aren't a codex army.

Obsec stands for "Objective Secured", it was a rule introduced in 7th edition. Everything could score objectives, but units with the "Objective Secured" rule (usually troops choices) would hold the objective unless another unit with that rule could contest. In 8th edition its used to generically refer to the rules various factions have that enables a unit with that rule to hold an objective regardless of how many enemy models are within range of it.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
