Going to an ITC tournament this weekend. Its not the ideal list because I havent been able to finish building and painting some of the units that I want to take.

I am open to suggestions to swap things out, here is what I have for raven guard: Redemptor, 2x regular Dreadnought, 10x regular terminators, 5 more scouts with 1x HB, 1x ML, 2x boltgun, 1x sniper, a bunch of regular SM and 2x of each heavy weapon, 1x land speeder with missiles and HB or multimelta. I just started playing this year so my collection is still very limited. For BA all I have left are 2x death company Dreadnoughts.

Strategy: STFS the aggressors. Feed all of the command points into the deepstriking BA units to buff them and ensure that the death company make their charge. The RG dreads will hang out with the CPT and LT, scouts will annoy characters, and the IG guy will hopefully recycle lots of CO for me. I am not too worried about objective control because of the way ITC SCORING works. I only need to hold one at all times to get my point, and I only loose 5 points total by not holding more than my opponent. The gamble here is that hopefully no one brings more than 6 lascannons lol. That is what it would take statistically to kill more than one Dreadnought per turn.

I wouldnt run flamestorm aggressors, 8" range is pathetic, same for the heavy flamer on the libby dread, 17 pts for 3,5 autohits at S5 AP-1 D1 at 8" is ridiculous. If you run DC lemartes is a must. He allows DC to re-roll failed charge rolls, and failed hit rolls in the fight phase. This includes DC dreads. Use a DC dread instead of furioso, its better. Drop the terminators, they suck, use the second DC dread.

Thank you, exactly what I was looking for in a critique.

The arm weapons on the Libby dread are magnetized, changing that to a melta.

The aggressors... I bought the cheap version with only the flamer variant. I really like them as a charge deterrent with the 12D6 auto hits. I think you are right, I should drop them. The most damage they could do is delete a guard squad or equivalent and then they would get killed.

I don't have lemartes... Yet.

I picked the Cataphractii because of their invulnerable save. Two melta guns could destroy a DC dread in one turn.

Dropping the aggressors gives me enough points to switch the Furioso for a DC Dreadnought and give him a lucius drop pod.

The idea behind a deep strike heavy BA element was to force the opponent to play more defensive. Once the BA come down the opponent will have a lot of close up threats to deal with and that should take pressure off of my RG guys.

I made some changes to the list: dropped the aggressors, switched the Furioso for a DC Dreadnought, and added a lucius pattern drop pod to deliver the DC Dreadnought.
