I plan on making two lists with mostly Primaris, if not pure, and Militarum Tempestus (this is one). This is two battalions, one being Primaris Raven Guard, and the other being Militarum Tempestus. Love Suggestions. This will be for more friendly games, I hope, but I’m not familiar with the local meta.

The Captain will be hoofing it with with the hellblasters. The librarian will also be back with them, probably. The lieutenant will Strike from the Shadows with the Agressors. The Inceptor will run up to put big shots in big things. The Militarum Tempestus Command Squads will do something similar, while the rest of the Scions will harass. The Taurox Primes will ferry Scions around act as fast anti-vehicle and one will be anti-horde.

I only have the Militarum Tempestus models.

Primaris Librarian: 2) Might of Heroes, 3) Psychic Scourge, 5) Psychic Fortress, Force sword

4x Scout w/Boltgun

1x Aggressor Squad: 2x Aggressor, Aggressor Sergeant, Auto Boltstorm Gauntlets/Fragstorm Grenade Launcher

1x Inceptor Squad: Plasma Exterminator

2x Hellblaster Squad: Plasma incinerator, Hellblaster Sergeant: Bolt pistol

2x Tempestor Prime: Power sword, Tempestus Command Rod

3x Militarum Tempestus Scions (2x Hot Shot Volley Guns)

2x Militarum Tempestus Command Squad (Plasmaciders)

2x Taurox Prime: Heavy Stubber, Taurox Missile Launcher, Two Autocannons

1x Taurox Prime: Storm Bolter, Taurox Gatling Cannon, Two Hot-shot Volley Guns

You gotta give us a little more... What are your tactics? Which synergies are you trying to achieve, are these models that you already own or are you trying to figure out what to buy, etc.

Its a legal list, there are good things in it, but what are you trying to achieve? Are going out for tournaments or just friendly games?

Oh, thank you, I forgot about that, as I was tired! I will put that in.

For anti horde purposes you will be better off using more aggressors with the bolt storm gauntlets.

A very effective combination for your castle is hellblaster, CPT, LT and an ancient.

Since you dont own the primaris models yet, see if your opponent will let you proxy one... ONE, not the entire list, that would get very frustrating lol. If not, get one at a time and see if you like them. No need to blow $ on things you wont enjoy.

I am personally not impressed with taurox primes unless they stay stationary near a re roll HQ.

What is your plan against fast moving CC armies, like custodes jetbikes or harlequins?

I am not quite sure, I am just musing ideas at this point. I won't have the money to buy anything for quite a while, and if the Imperial Knights codex pans out well, I may end up just making Imperial Knights backed up by Vostroyans.

If you're looking for a tough unit to remove from cover, I prefer Intercessors over scouts with camo. Yeah you can't snipe character, but they're cheaper, double the wounds and still get a 2+ in cover.
