Hello warhammer longbears and lore fans, i read and posted in a tread about fantasy and it got me really interested in its lore. I started to look it up and i've come across this. https://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/34166/link-between-warhammer-fantasy-and-warhammer-40k

I assume must elements brought here are true (apart from the squats being dwarves, they technically were abhumans). The theory according to which both warhammer universes should be that link is gork damn badass and really appeals to me... Has anyone a take on that?

To me it makes all sense because lorewise firstly, they are many evidences that the world suffers from such things as the warp, though a little contained and limited to the poles thanks to the portal, as well as the fact that if the ancient have been mentionned several time, which could really set them in the same galaxy.

In reality, we all know that part of 40k's unique taste comes from the fantasy likened elements such as lagic and artifacts, which is directly an infouence from whb which was developped before it. It woyld make sense that both universe are tied and that this link should be more or less "canon" (if such thing exist by GW srandards.)

They are def linked see snippets in the End Times books and also some named Daemons that appear in both.

The last the End Times book does mention that the Chaos Gods are active in many universes and this has also been mentioned in some of the AOS books such as Plaguegarden.

Also the recently re-released Dracenfels has a central character that has counterparts in many universes not yet 40k - but she would be great.

I don't know much about AoS but i deduce they try to push this hypothesis forth again. Which is great
