Subject: T'au Commander Load Outs Besides Quad Fusion Blasters?

Tough Tyrant Guard

Hello again All!
I'm in the process of finishing up my last few models for my updated T'au army and I've been mulling over different ways to outfit my last Commander Suit. There are a couple of options I'm wavering between, so I wanted to pick the brains of the other T'au generals out here. Besides quad fusion blasters (obviously on a Coldstar), have you had any success with any other variant or build on a Commander Suit?
Thanks!

I like to think that a deep striking quad CIB Iridium commander (preferably dalyth for the -1 to hit relic) alongside 7 or 8 shield drones can be useful for taking out non-T8 multi-wound units. Just make sure you always markerlight the intended target. Not that I have had too much luck with it but it seems viable. Alternatively you could try putting him back with your Broadsides to Kauyon them turn 1 to Alpha Strike with Missile Pods (Borkan for the extra range of course).

For a non coldstar commanders CIB are good, but for coldstars, I hace found sometimes that swapping out that 4th fussion for a shield generator can stop them being such a one and done unit.

My solution for that is to hold them back turn 1 to Master of War Alpha, protected by the Character rule, then zip up turn 2 and manta strike some shield drones next to them. Or if there is something that is worth suiciding to cripple/kill, do that instead.

Relic AFP (Supernova Launcher) is really good.

The main two loadouts are Coldstar- Quad Fusion and Iridium/Enforcer- Quad CIB.
I also like the following Coldstar loadout if you want something kind of similar to a Quad CIB in that it's decent against anything, but on the Cold Star Chassis.
Cold Star
1x High Volume Burst Cannon
1x Missile Pod
1x Supernova Launcher (Prototype System)
1x Advanced Targeting System
I liked it better pre-FAQ when I could switch out the Missile Pod for another Burst Cannon, but people being donkey-caves and trying to take 5 systems made them reword it and now you have to swap out the HVBC and ML as a pair.
