I tend to use regular old Loctite Super Glue. Works great.

Regular superglue should be fine.
I've only ever had one finecast model, though (chaos WHFB character with fabulous hair that I turned into my elf prince on foot - also with fabulous hair.). It glued fine with superglue.

locktite super glue with a brush is what im using.
same stuff as old GW superglue, aka stings your eyes if your gluing too clouse to the face and damn near impossible to break of the pices when properly dry if it has perfect contact surface.

Super glue with applicator spray to speed up the time for drying to about 5 secs. Otherwise you gotta hold it. Get some cheap disposable gloves as well. For larger resin kits like forgeworld use 2 part loctite expoxy.
