Hi everyone!
I’m looking to start up a Drukhari army and would like some help building the list.

EDIT:

Hi again!
After some feedback I have rivised my list slightly...

It is currently at 1992p so I can affird 2 agonizers or some other little upgrade. Suggestions?

Here is my idea so far:

2000p Drukhari v1,1

Black Heart Battalion
1x Archon (Husk, Splinter)
1x Archon (venom, Splinter)

1x Sslyth

5x5 Kanalites (blast)

3x Ravager (3 Dis)

2x Raider (Dis)
2x Venom (2 rifle, SC)

Red Grief Outrider
1x Succubus (Glaive, Splinter)

1x7 Reavers (2 grav talons)
1x3 Reavers (Blast)
1x5 Scoutges (4 shredder)

Prophets of Flesh Spearhead
Urien Rakarth

1x5 Grotesques

3x1 Talos (haywire)

Overall strategy:

The venom Archon banysits the Ravagers with his aura

The husk Archon (warlord), Succubus & Sslyth in one of the Venoms as a mobile couner unit.

Urien with the Talos and Grotesques

Kabalites in Raiders & Venom (2 in each raider and 1 in the second venom) going for objectives and general damage output

Ravagers for obvious damageä

7-man Reaver unit with grav talons for early charge and tar pitting.

Small Reaver unit for objectives & harrasing

Scourges for anti horde

Urien to buff Grotesques & Talos

Grotesques for midfield counter charge

Talos for midfield control and anti vehicle

Any further suggestions orsmall tweakd?

Thank you!

Seems pretty solid. Id pro just move 1 of the reavers from the squad of 7 into the squad of 3 to make it 6 + 4.

also, i cant recommend wracks highly enough. best value unit in the game, with the coven you're using.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I guess 4+6 makes sense. It makes the smaller unit with the blaster more survivable while the larger one still is able to do what it is intended to.

I keep hearing Wracks are awesome but I haven’t really seen how yet. Care to elaborate?

I don't like wracks, grotesques are amazing and talos more than decent, I'd recommend bringing just those coven stuff plus urien or an haemy in a spearhead or vanguard detachment. Use wracks only if you want a coven battallion, grotesques and talos are way better.

The only thing I'd change in the list above is the reavers loadout, bring 3x3 with a grav talon each. Red grief bikes are amazing to charge in turn one, don't bother with blasters since you'll probably want to advance and charge. Give that blaster to an archon, he's also BS2+.

With the spared points don't bother with agonisers, give phantasm granade launchers to the archons instead: with the dedicated stratagem they can be cheap sources of mortal wounds.

Thanks for the advice!

Do you reckon I have enough anti vehicle weapons if I skip the blaster on the reavers? Not that one single blaster will make a huge difference but still.

5 Blasters, 3 twin haywire blasters and 11 Disintegrator cannons feel like a decent amount but I also realize half (or more) of those models will be dead by turn 3... I feel like Deukhari really need redundancy since they are so fragile.

with the coven youve taken, wracks get on the field with T5, 4++, FNP (rerolling 1s if you take a standard haemo and the right WL trait), hitting on 3s (2s by turn 3), wounding non-vehicles on 4, 2 attacks each, 3 for squad leader, and are able to be respawned near any table edge for a couple CPs (denying VPs and giving you easy map coverage as needed), all for the WHOPPING price of 9 points per. ridiculously good.

you footslog them up the middle and hope your opponent shoots at em. and if they dont, theyre gonna mess up whatever you charge em at.

Relics. Use your relics. Writ of living muse with Black heart venom blade archon. Its literally FREE and you get rerolls of 1 to wound.

For 1 CP more, you can take the Blood Glaive on succubus, making her s8 ap-3 d3 damage, (str 8= 3 base, +1 obsession, +1 drug, +3 blood glaive).

The one sslyth seems underpowered and does nothing in my mind. I'd rather run succubus and a couple wyches for that.

3 reavers won't do much of anything and will just give away Kill Points, I'd drop them.A few other things that aren't my style but seem like they'd be okay. Otherwise, use your relics!

Thanks!

Yeah, I definitely intend to use relics! At least the blood glaive and probabli Writ of the Living Muse as well...

If I shuffle around some points I can bring a second Sslyth. The purpose of them mainly beeing to keep the warlord alive and act as extra meat when the archon and succubus get stuck in. They also synergize somewhat with the Venom they ride in with their shard carbines. To be honest, I havent tried them but in theory they should fulfil their purpose. And I quite like the model... not very impressed that it is finecast though... And I’ll likely convert them using scourge shard carbines and other bits for variation.

Anyway... The 3 Reavers ar really just there to fill the detachment... but I bet they’ll be handy for objective grabbing during maelstrom missions (which we mostly play) I will however skip tve blaster since it will make them a target and will likely not get that many shots fired...

if you're taking red grief, then yeah you should arm a succ with blood glaive, its too good not to.

Same for writ. I personally like to deep strike 20 warriors in, with the archon nearby (either through deep striking him also, or just moving a venom around), so have a buttload of shots rerolling 1s on hits and wounds.

as for reavers, i tend to go for 2 x teams of 6 with 2 grav talons in each group, with a group of scourges to drop in with their shredders to round out the battalion.
