I recently picked up a new pot of nuln oil and I've noticed that it dries shiney, whereas my previous pot dried matte. Why is that?

Did you get the right stuff?

If you did get the right stuff, did you give it a good, long shake before you used it?

Mine definitely doesn't say gloss on it. I did shake it, maybe I didn't shake it enough?

Or, they got the label mixed and you got the GLOSS version.

Yes, it separates and will dry glossy if not mixed.

yeah, I tried nuln oil for the first time about 3-4 years ago, and had that problem...and thought I hated GW washes since then...only this year have I tried them again, and actually gave them a really good shake before using them, and now I think they're great

you really need to shake them every time before you go to use them...and really shake the heck outta them when you use it for the first time!

...it's good to be green!
