Those modular plastic scenery kits (with a Limited Edition discount deal in the Campaign) do exist, and are indeed super cool.

It’s great that companies are already rescaling for the new Titanicus. Ive started building my own vehicles at that scale and they’re the same size as these, which make me feel better about guessing the scale. Those models look good for 8mm, but the price seems kinda steep compared to their other stuff. I’m also interested to see what other command options they come out with

Did I hear the creak of the closet where GW keeps their ninja-lawyers?

Yup, it's right behind the chest of drawers where they keep their complete misconception of how IP law works, they always open that first.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

All metal so far - though there's a suspiciously plastic-looking stretch goal silhouette...

Well, the details are more showing in 8 mm, indeed, but it's clear the difference will be showing next to 6mm miniatures.

I also think it's a bit too soon...we don't even know if GW will indeed go that road, after all.

I've had a lot of comments that people are potentially interested, but they'd like me to delay campaign start for a couple of months.

Therefore I've cancelled all pledges so far, and returned the Campaign to Draft mode...

...see ya'll in a few months, I guess?

Hopefully that doesn't end up with somebody else jumping in there first.....

I was pretty surprised to read this earlier (the original CF post) and think it's a wise decision to wait.

I mean, aren't the Defeat in Detail 6mm Elites a bit bigger than old Epic 6mm anyway? Plus you already have so many gorgeous DiD vehicles for Novan Elites and Regulars that are already in that scale ...

He has a point. The 2mm difference might be 1/3 more but it's still just 2mm difference and it's not like GW has plans to make tanks and infantry at 8mm ATM.

I would say more than 8mm armies I'd be interested in terrain and sundries. Maybe a fortress expansion for the city panels? Resin turrets, missile launchers and such, for say a siege of a palace?

Even plastic crenellations and buttressed walls if the market supports it.

Something like that.

Fortress themed city walls panels are already on the agenda in any case. :-)
