I was skimming the list of models that are online only, and I came across this gorgeous beauty from original fantasy. Would this be passable for the Spawn? It would be FAR cheaper to buy as a Canadian.

I dunno about that model, but while we're on the subject I am interested to know what other people use as normal Chaos Spawn since I dislike the GW model kit. Ideas?

I am plundering my Tyranids bits-box. 
All those arms, claws and various monster parts are a good fit for the spawn.
WIP for spawn #1:
I am not sure about the scale though. Never saw an actual spawn model in person. That's a 50mm base it's standing on.
Is that about the size of a normal chaos spawn?
How big is a giant spawn you are looking for?

Giant is about maulerfiend sized. Spawn are a bit smaller than a dreadnaught

I bought two of this box.
One demon prince, one random dude I don't use, and 6 Khorne fleshounds/Chaos Abominations for 20€? Yes please.

Giant spawn fit comfortably on a 100mm base, and are about the same size as the maggoth lords from Age of Sigmar.
