Stubborn Hammerer
|
From CDO:
Just an informative (slightly advertising) post:
Inspired by the classic paint range of 1988! An oldhammer favourite! Bottled in the old style flip-top 20ml pot!
After an extensive research and numerous trial and error tests, we have managed to replicate those so missed paints of our childhood.
Perfect for reliving those great times. At least 99% colour matching compared to the original 1988 release paints. We have even matched the pots, the smell, feel and consistency of the original line.
The first set to be released is the Creature Set:
#10 - Swamp Brown
#11 - Rotting Flesh
#12 - Orc Brown
#13 - Hobgoblin Orange
#14 - Elf Grey
#15 - Spearstaff Brown
#16 - Worm Purple
#17 - Goblin Green
#18 - Chainmail

Aren't most of these already available from the original manufacturer of those colours?

Yes they are.

Yep, that's the one I was thinking of, so I'm not understanding the "new" retake on something that still exists. I mean the price looks good - but as an unknown paint quality, I'd just go for the originals?

It's nice to have new Warcolours colors, I'e been very happy with their paints. Found out about them from Jay Adan's painting blog/youtube channel and gave them a shot. Shipping takes a couple weeks since it;s a one-man operation out of the Isle of Cypress, but the prices make up for it and the paints are pretty great, especially his one-coats. They haven't completely replaced my Vallejos or anything, but they accent them very well
