Should I wait or buy index Imperium II ?

Hi there,
I already have my IG codex, but I would like to play my assassins ! However, the rules are only in Index Imperium II.... Do you think I should spend 25€ on it now, or should I wait a bit more ? I have no clue at all when GW will release a codex with the rules for the ordo !

I would say wait for the simple fact that assassins are nerfed to worse than uselessness right now.

Quite frankly I suggest memorising the stats from a friends copy of the Index, because it's not worth the price just for the assassin datasheets. Or kindly ask a friend if you can cut out those pages from their Index if they don't plan on using assassins.

Be on the lookout for any Imperial Knights players who are selling their Index now that their Codex is here, could be able to pick one up on the cheap.

No reason to wait, there's not been any announcement of a codex with Officio Assassinorum rules. Could definitely search for a second-hand Index, though.

or just go to your local library and photocopy the page

I'd suggest just using the stats from battlescribe. However, we currently have no idea when assassins are gonna be in a codex.

I would say get the book. If you’re interested at all in running Imperial allies, it’s got everything in there. Sisters, Inquisition, Assassins, Fortifications, and most of that’s probably not getting codexes for quite some time.

Assassins are worse than useless right now?

I mean...two of them I'd say aren't worth a whole lot. Vindicares can be ok if paired with a lot of supporting snipers, maybe like added into a skitarii army with those arquebuses. Callidus are not taken because they're straight up a worse Eversor, but Eversors and Culexus still seem perfectly relevant.

Adeptus Assassinitis (or whatever its called) outperformed a number of factions by detachment-count at the London GT, and that was post faq. Youd think to be worse than useless an index should at least be seen less than all codexes.
