someone gave me the idea to use knights as my leman russ battletanks, i thought this whas a really fun idea but i dont know how to execute it.
i thought of using a warglaive as the knight/body and then adding the weapons from the russ but i dont know if that is a acceptable conversion/kitbash.
i hope you guys can help.

Honestly, I think it's a cool idea but it would need a lot of work - it would need to look different to distinguish the walker-Russ from just an armiger.
If I had this concept in front of me I'd do something like removing the hip piece, attaching the legs up where the arm sockets are and adding the weapons to the upper hull with a turret for the main cannon. It would have a distinct silhouette and not be anything like an armiger
But it would take a lot of work, the turret might need to be scratch built or at least heavily converted from other bits.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy. |

Yeah, I agree. At the end of the day it would mostly just be "oh look, an Armiger with different guns". Again, you'd want to go outside of GW kits for something that people won't recognize --- and convert it into the GW/IG aesthetic.

I think you need to use the russ turret. Like some of the allied walkers in dust.

Yeah, honestly I'd just get the old Dust Walkers (they're dirt cheap) and put a Russ turret on them.

More expensive, but you could also go the Lord of Skulls route and put robot torsos on Russ treads.
