Subject: Is kitbashing a named character allowed in tournaments?

Like the title says I would like to know if there might be a tournament which would prohibit me using a let's say the two latter models:
A) Lemartes kitbashed with winged jump pack. Model would be regular Lemartes, but finecast JP is horrid and I'm all out of magnets.
B) Dark Vengeance master as Azrael if I have the metallic Lion's helm carrier along his side?
Thanks!

Ask the TO. I did a conversion of a Malanthrope, they are cool with it, just had to print off a picture and include it with my army list.

I understand the ask the TO part, but in general do you think that there would be so strict TO's that they would not allow that kinda alterations. DV "Azrael" is more of a borderline here, but especially I'd like to know about the different jump pack for Lemartes model, it will look a lot different for sure.

I think lots and lots of people have used the DV model as a counts as Azzy. The whole point of this hobby is to model and use things to show your creativity. It would have to be the most anal of TO's that would not allow you to use something like a different jump pack. Especially given the number of awesome 3rd party Jump Packs out there.
As long as the model you are using is easily distinguishable and your opponent can mark who it is and where they are then it should be fine (i.e dont use a regular DA as an Azreal, who can magically appear and disappear in a TAC squad for example). Lemartes with a different JP is still Lemartes.

So long as your conversion matches the official description, size, armour and equipment of the character, and doesn't use blatantly non-GW bits, I'd be amazed if any tourney disallowed it.
The only problems I've ever seen along these lines have been from lazy weasels with terrible conversions (or not even bothering to convert: "this standard grot model counts-as Ghazghkull Thraka" etc...)
