Say I am building an army, pitched battle 2000 pts.

I want to use a Battalion.

This particular Battalion I am using has 3 Battleline units.

My question is, do these units indeed count as my Battleline units for my army requirements? Or does my Battalion count as something separate from my main army? I.e Just because it contains Battleline units, doesn't mean my Battleline requirements get filled.

I ask this because I am using Battlescribe to make my army, and if I fill out my Battalion requirement I get an error saying I am missing the minimum 3 requirements for my Battleline requirement, even though they are indeed included in my army.

This just confuses me.

It's just battlescribe messing up.

Yeah, Battlescribe is full of errors.
As an example, I've been making DoK lists that Battlescribe says are illegal. It doesn't recognize battleline units in Battalions and it doesn't recognize the benefits of wars roll battalions.
So even though a Kailabron army with a Temple Nest and Medusa general allows for Shrine, Medusa, 3 Blood Sister units and 2 Heart Seeker units to make a legal battalion... Battlescribe will say that there aren't any battleline, there are too many sisters in the battalion, and that sisters can not be taken in the battalion.
Also it doesn't recognize that more than one relic can be taken in that battalion because its a battalion in a legal army.

Its better to just own the physical book and do the math on units yourself.
