What unit can move 12" and cheap enough to spam to screen a Daemon prince?

How long do you need to screen it for? It affects how durable your screen needs to be.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

3 Plague drones is an effective screen for a little over 100 pts. I don't really play any other Gods but Flesh Hounds, seekers, and Screamers would work the same way.

I dont like the rhino suggestion bc it cost 90 some points. And only holds 10 cultists. Also i thought rhino was not a dedicated transport for cultists.

Cultist warp timed requires a 90 ish point sorc. And only works on 1 squad.

Need units that inherently move 12" without needing transport or psychic abilities.

Furies is good candidate for being 10-12ppm. Having nurgle give them 6+fnp.

What about other fast attack options? Flesh hounds, Seekers, Sreamers, Raptors, Chaos Bikers, Warptalons?

Maybe best question is to ask what is the popular to screen a DP in the meta.

"Cultist warp timed requires a 90 ish point sorc. And only works on 1 squad." - Your DP can do the warptiming, and 1 squad is 40 dudes. But yeah, it's limited.

plague drones and screamers are nice and decent durable screens, flesh hound i never tried them but they should work fine

Enough gretchin to fill the board, making them infinitely fast as they are everywhere at once.

Lol was thinking teams. Would work though.

There are really only four options - nurglings, cultists, plaguebearers and plague drones. All of these are competitive choices in the "meta" as you mention. Horrors are an outside call with the ++ strat. While not "spammable" depending on your list, PBC or foetid bloat drones could be considered to dictate target priority for a time. This was seen prior to the "rule of 3" when people ran 10 PBC or 10 Foetid's with 2 DP and epidemius. Against many lists you will still be "happy" if someone shot at your PBC instead of your DP. None of these move 12 inches and not all are necessarily "cheap model screens" so maybe you shouldn't be so hung up on a particular need to move 12 inches + advance every turn.

Tzaangors with dark matter crystal can be considered. A list running tzaangors and cultists got top 2 at Triumph GT which was fairly recent and if you trust to make an 8 inch charge with brayhorn and reroll this will control your opponent from shooting your daemon prince. Ecsp. if you can get a surround off on a weaker opponent.

A relatively new choice at the table is a renegade knight if you wanted to think out of the box, but this does not fit a "cheap screen" more in the line of "helping your daemon prince not get shot," so it depends what you are going for...

If you are talking about noncompetitive options then literally anything that moves near 10 inches is fine and doesn't really require discussion, hounds, seekers, etc. there are a number of options.

They are not cheap but when you take into account how much damage they can absorb they work out cheaper than cultists. Especialy as you dont need warptime to keep up and if the dp is a codex deamons dp then it can heal the drone each tirn to keep jis flabby meat shield going

i perfectly know how much damage they absorb i played a lot 3x bloated drones, the topic owner was asking cheap so i didn't considered them.
