Hello, just re reading the rules in the codex and I have realised it says the taurox has two auto cannons. Does that mean it has 4 shots rather than two?

Thanks

I like that the pic shows that the Taurox isn't really a bad model until you give it a shot paintjob like that ghastly blue they keep showing.

Only thing wrong with the Taurox is the tracks. They just don't look right. Maybe if they were inverted like you see on modern farm equipment. . . . hmmmmmmm

Honestly, if you replaced the taurox's front tracks with heavy duty tires, and elongated the back tracks, you would get a pretty cool looking half track model. I have no idea why GW didn't do this. Luckily you can buy a conversion kit from victoria miniatures.

I love the convoy picture posted...but it hides the biggest Taurox problem; it's comical size. It's like a matchbox car compared to every other vehicle. I had no idea it was so small until I was asked to sell one for a buddy.

It originally had wheels. Alan "imperial vehicles must have tracks"Merret made them change it.

its not just that the tracks don't look "right",
for me it is the fact that they have MudGuards,
as does the vehicle chassis...
2 mud guards?... IG afraid of getting a little dirty?...

That's a pretty cool convoy model.

I refuse to buy the Taurox model because it looks derpy with the tracks and I refuse to pay *extra* on top of an already outrageously priced model to "fix" it.

I've been planning to use a 1/35 Sdkfz 251 in place of the GW model.

It never ends well

That's a cool looking convoy.

I've liked a lot of the wheeled and half-track conversions of Tauroxes that I've seen.

I've wondered why they released something that was so similar to the Chimera in role. In some ways I think it would have been interesting if they had made it an actual APC with only a pintle-mounted Heavy Stubber of Storm Bolter and dropped the price even further? Maybe they figured that an Infantry Squad would never have enough firepower to justify the points cost of a pure transport and therefore they would always need an IFV?

It might have also been neat if they had an open-topped version like the Vietnam-era gun trucks. I guess that the Chimera more or less does that already with its lasguns in function if not appearance.

Thanks, I did laugh when I first saw the original size before I took my saw to it. I had thought about tyres on it but at this point in time I’m ok with it (might change in the future). It was going to be just an “objective” like on an escort or capture mission but as I’ve come to like it over a chimera and was pleased how it worked during my last game.

Was shocked when o went from 5th ed apc cost to 8th ed so a dirt cheap no thrills one would be nice.

Thinking of making other one and two more trailers (different styles)

Here’s its size compared to other tanks

I'm really digging those cargo hauler versions of the Taurox.
