Ok,
like the title says I'm making a add-on to my gaming board. There's few pictures below from the orginal. It's fully modular, so all the 24x48" modules can be switched around. I want to make a more of an city block (I need to hide my models from our meta's new black the IK-enthusiasts..). So the new bits will eventually blend in and more battle damage and buildings are underway, all of them are on their own ~16" square bases and can be relocated anywhere. The new buildings should go with the older ones as well, even that they are a bit more higher..
What I'm asking you guys that once I finished the hangar piece, I realized it's way too big if you compare it to the five floor building next to it. Hangar will get some battle damage for sure before I glue it and all the buildings will get the similar tabletop ready concreat paint&sand mixture. How could I make the hangar look smaller, even with battle damage it'll out-class the 5 floor building. I'm thinking creating a "back room" where's an exit on one of the back wall corners, maybe 2 floors high.. but still not really happy with the idea. I'm not that much interested in creating too detailed terrain, because it's just terrain.. if it blends in.. I'm fine.
I'm making a skyshield landing pad on one of the bigger bases and maybe somekind of administarium building with little yard with the statue and sentry gun.. it should be fine?
All open for ideas. I want this to be done before I continue my batreps.. it just looks too boring to play on same terrain pieces all over again.
Here's some pics of the old:
Here's some of the new board (early
