Since chadian doctrine doesn't do jack for conquerors what do you recommend, or have experience using?
Valhallan, for durability
Vostroyan, for always getting the reroll to hit from coaxial and stratagem.
Catachan, for more dakka
Or any of the other have a use I am not seeing?
Ps can you even have stormtrooper doctrine on a conqueror?

I use catachan. Rerolling the amount of shots and then rerolling the hits (if in range of the SB) is great

Er, why doesn't the Cadian doctrine work on Conquerors? They can stand still just as well as any other Leman Russ, can't they? In any case, for just about any tank with a D6 shot turret, Catachan is generally the most reliable.

You can, RAW, have the Storm Troopers doctrine on Leman Russes (and any <Regiment> model) by creating your own custom Regiment. Be forewarned that a select few consider this against the spirit of the rules, but I recommend you ignore those people.

Cadian doctrine gives them rerolls to hit, which they already get from their storm bolters.

So go Catachan. It’s the best choice for artillery and normal tanks too, as rerolls are available from loads of other sources anyway.

The main reason to go Cadian is their relic.

Cadian helps beyond the range of the storm bolters, which comes into play reasonably often, and also benefits from Overlapping Fields of Fire as well as the relic. Cadia is much more than a doctrine!

In general, I'd say that catachan is the best option for the conqueror, for the same reason it's often the best for regular battle cannons.

Catachan all day. The reliable re-roll of the D6 shots is just too major to give up.

I'll reaffirm catachan.

However, I like them with my tallarn. Doesn't directly do anything for the main cannon but if you want to take sponsons and keep them moving it is great. Tank cc orders allow them to also move more than 5" a turn and keep full fire power. That little extra movement really helps in some games and can help to get within 24" and still fire twice or help keep the distance and still fire twice.

I'm really tempted by a spearhead with Tallarn punishers with three heavy bolters. Moving and shooting all of that weaponry seems really good, especially as S5 is kind of a sweet spot against a lot of common targets (T4/5 and T8).

Cadia has Pask too. Gotta love him.

Another vote for Tallarn. Sure, Catachan is mathematically superior, but the extra movement can be pretty useful, especially considering the short range on the storm bolter. Of course, if youre not running sponsons, then its a moot point, catachan all the way.
