My plan is to create a barbarian space marine chapter by sticking SM heads onto ork bodies. I would play it as an ork army on the table, just with different fluff behind it. Only problem is that models are expensive, and I don't want to spend £20 on a box just to find out that the bits don't fit together.
Has anyone tried putting space marine heads onto orks or know if the pieces fit?
I don’t think they’d fit correctly due to the orks hunched postures, their heads sit in front of their shoulders rather than on top. You might be better to look at the AoS khorne range for some muscled barbarian bodies to convert or mayby even at blood bowl teams.
I suggest using fantasy maurader bodies instead. Proportions are human, but silly levels of muscle.
