What color combinations will you guys be painting your new ruins? I really like the scheme GW put out, but I don't want to copy them directly. I plan on toning down the gold they gave the trim and probably going with a Bronze color. I'm not sure what to do with the cement portions of the walls, though.

What are your plans?

Zandri Dust spray (+some shade of green on floor tiles), Sepia wash, bone color drybrush and maybe a white drybrush on the sharpest/highest edges. Probably not going to bother with any additional details except maybe a few spots here and there at most.

I like the sound of that Weazel, I might give it a try on some of mine.

Very much this as well, I want a quick and simple scheme that doesn't take more than a couple of hours to pull off and still look good.

On one hand I think a darker color scheme might look cool, but on the other if I'm using the ruins to represent an Imperial city center having lots of marble and gold makes sense.

I haven't seen anyone post of pic of this yet. Will the plasma conduits or promethium pipes line up with the fans/vents at the bottom of the walls? Such as the ones your 5th picture?

Thanks, I was happy with how it turned out given the limited time i've had. Still plenty of extra bits of detail to pick out but it's certainly good enough for a game or two.

That's because it's not released until the weekend! I get a promo pack for stuff that we do on Youtube. (We've got Adeptus Titanicus already...squeeee).

Yes they do. Although if you base your ruins, which I prefer to do, you'll be out by Xmm unless you put risers on your pipes too!
Nice kits though. It'll take some getting used to as the 'system' is a bit different to previous COD kits but there is some serious potential.

You'll have to bare with me on this as I use a load of stuff from different manufactures including Graffiti rattlecans, some of my paints are OOP but there should be equivalents.

Spray Prime- Halfords: Black Primer.
Spray- Montana Gold: Chestnut
Lighter Spray- Montana Gold Royal Red
Light Patchy Spray Spray- Ironlak: ir090, Dieci Does
Patchy Dust Spray: Montana Gold Coke
Drybrush: Vallejo Game Colour Extra Opaque: Heavy Brown
Drybrush: Citadel: Bleached Bone
Highlight: Vallejo Model Colour: Deck Tan

I picked out the floor sections with Vallejo Model Colour: Basalt Grey

Metallics were Vallejo Game Colour: Brassy Brass and GW: Boltgun Metal.

I did some other verdigris and weathering with a mix of other bits and pieces too boring to get into!

Hope this helps guys and thanks for checking it out.
