Hy guys,

I have a small tournament coming up next week and I wanted to have a second opinion on the list I'm bringing.
There are a few restrictions:
-only one detachment
-max three copies of the same Troup or transport
-max one copy of anything else
-no lord of war

I wanted to go with kind of a TaC list. Hope you guys can give me some input on it.

It's always a good idea to include a brief blurb about intended positions and combos just to help people digest the list.

The first thing I notice is, as far as I can see, none of your transports and likely combos work out. You have 6 man squads that look like they should go into the Venoms which only have a 5 man capacity. You have the 10 man Mandrake squad comboing with the Archon I'm guessing (?) in the Raider, which again won't fit, but even if I think you thought the Raider was an 11 capacity that means Draz is...footslogging?

Even if you wanted to keep everything else the same, I'd drop one Warrior from each squad, and 2 Mandrakes so at least you could mech up.

Also, considering you're obligated to pay for Draz, and need extra space in the Raider for your HQs, and have throwaway points on extra Scourge bodies and the points you'll save by dropping three Warriors - why not try to take a squad of Mandrakes and a squad of Incubi to benefit from Draz's aura? The Mandrakes could deepstrike in and the Archon could even leap out to help them in shooting if you wanted, and the Incubi could chill with Draz and assault stuff (even keep the Archon there for hitting on 2+ and re-rolling all 1s).

Left to my own devices I'd probably let the Archon and Draz serve by themselves as my assault tools and would probably toss in a Razorwing with Dissies for extra shooting firepower and to serve as a sort of pseudo 2nd Ravager - might be worth considering if you have the model.

Good luck in the tournament, the build rules are fairly obnoxious to any army with a limited HQ set and built to take multi-detachments like DE, but meh, we're top tier now so I guess we deserve the occasional mental stretch

Thanks for the reply, i should have clarified it more:

the warriors are really a mistake i just forgot to delete the one for the special weapon in battlescribe

the idea is to have the warriors in venoms and the mandrakes in the raider.

the two hq´s are indeed footslooging, because i didnt want to strip the mandrakes for them.

Sadly I can´t add another razorwing nor a ravager, because it´s agains the restrictions (each datasheet only once)
That might be a bit of a problem.
I will try to stripp some points to maybe get a Bomber in.

Any other suggestions?

The Mandrakes dont need a Raider. They are a shock and awe unit.
Drazhar is a bit misplaced in this army. I'd go for a second Archon and manage to get him close to your shooty units for rerolls.

I'd take 3 Ravagers with disintegrators. At this pt level, they are absolutely deadly. Get an Archon close enough to them.

I would also opt for those other units but the tournament says only one copy of each except Troup and transport. I like the mandrakes in the raider, because then they are relevant from turn 1 onwards and they are a lot more survivable.

Then it looks quite good.
I'd drop Drazhar and take a Succubus. Maybe she could stall a unit in cc if needed.

Those restictions are really hard on dark elfs. Can't take fast attack and shooting in the same list. And you have to take a special character.

Or I gues you could give up your obsessions. But thats what we get instead of magic.

The problem with that is that I completely lose obsessions and they are quite strong in my opinion.

Those tournament restrictions are so bad. Who came up with that? I honestly would not even consider playing in a tourney with dark eldar with that crap.

Other than that your list look decent. its probably what I would run myself given the insanely stupid restrictions.
