Subject: [2000] - Harlequins/Craftworld - Playing against Custodes - Need Help!
I am playing against Custodes allied with an Imperial Knight and Telemon. I have constructed a list that makes lots of -1 to hit rolls but not sure how it will fair against the Emperors best.
Crimson Hunter Exarch [9 PL, 175pts]: Two Bright Lances
++ Total: [98 PL, 1996pts] ++
Idea is that;
CHE is to target Telemon and IK as needed. Telemon 1st. Alaitic lets me gain an extra -1 to hit. So, if I position right i can keep flying back and forth between 2 points to make sure im always 13" away.
Supreme Command of Farseer and 2 Warlocks all on Bikes is to make as much negative buff and destruction as possible. Farseers Doom will be casted on Telemon so that the Skyweavers can roll failed wounds and get as mainly MWs as possible from HW cannons. CHE will also buff from this as well if Tele does not die. Executioner will possibly slay 1 custode model lets me get another d3 MW go through, Warlock w/ Drain is to make 1 unit a -1 to hit (so, either blob of custodes, Telemon, Bikes, Captain on bike etc) and Warlock w/ Jinx is to make all saves and invul saves of 1 unit -1 (looking at you telemon, Knights and basically everything else).
3 5 troupe units all w/ Fusion pistols in Starweavers for max mobility and get as much use of the Masque as possible. Also room to put all HQs into and the Solitaire to make less drops. Some players in the transports have Caress in case they get into CC and need some punch.
Skyweavers target any and all Vehicles and Charge anything with 1-3 models left over from being shot at. Moving as a mobile unit with the Farseer and Warlocks to be a Distraction Carnifex.
Big Troupe unit will be using Gems to get 3+ invul, going into LOSB terrain, having any -1 powers casted onto them and Gems. Once in CC range hoping they do a good charge and decimate whatever they attack.
Solitaire is taken because left over points. Could Blitz him into a Captain on Bike.
Solitaire grant -1 to wound and access to -1 to hit on an infantry Quins unit and for 1 unit to have -1 to hit on all Quins that turn.
So, with regards above... What would you guys recommend I do?

Take the lessons from that list and apply it to this one. Stop trying to put a fusion pistol on every player that rides in a transport. If you don't go first, they will blow up, and some of those players may die. Even if they don't five fusion pistols is going to be overkill when you also have haywire cannon bikes.

I would drop the warlocks as they dont add much to yourist since they can only use the debuff powers and cant give you a full smite. You could drop the big unit of footslogging harlies as well to bring 2 more crimson hunters/ wraithfighters. I feel like shining spears could add a lot of utility to this list as well. Alternatively you could keep 1 warlock with quicken to boost up a large squad of shining spears with your skyweavers. Custodes arent that strong against mass shuriken fire btw unless they are a custodes soup list

TBF, The reason I have all troupes with Fusion sis because I have a lot of spare points. And ill be more honest in saying I did use that advice in a previous match and is what I based this one on. When I was done getting all the models i added more fusion because I had 80pts left over and was not sure what else to bring.
Thanks for the previous help as well.

I am only bringing the Warlocks for debuffs. I am hoping to make the foot-troupe -2 or -3 to hit on my turn 1. I also dont own any more Craftworld units besides the one I am using. I am mostly a Quins guys and only bought those Craftworld models for the pysker powers and access to a plane. Thanks for the help. Anything else you think i should do?

The issue with going minus to hit is that custodes have high reroll potential.
If the opponent is bringing a IK - perhaps you bring a WK or something to tarpit/draw fire?
Please post results of match and may the dice gods be in your favor.
No access to any Wraiths knights. Custodes may get Re-rolls but if they re-rolling 1s, hit on 2s and I have a -2 to hit than they are only hitting on 4s. Plus the Shadowseer grants -1 to wound as well. Should hopefully stand a chance.
I'm actually recording this game as a battle report. I'll send a link when it's on YouTube

Imagine your first round, you have almost no shooting. Not my playstyle.
Idea is to have his army come to to me. I'll be using my movement to gain objects and to stay out of Fire range so that he has to rush me. When he get close enough I'll than ambush him from the flanks and do the damage I need. The only thing I'm worrying about is the Knights, Telemon and Custode Bikes. If i can Haywire Telemon and the Knights I'll be happy. With the bikes ill jus shooting everything into them and use my Pysker powers to make it -2 to hit before it gets to shoot or charge me in which I can use a gem to make them -3 to hit. I should be able to hold my own if everything goes right. If playing with LOSB terrain I should be okay.

You absolutely need jinx. Shining spears and not flyers. They have massive firepower and speed. Do a Saim-Hann detachment of three units of spears. If you can jinx a unit. And concentrate all firepower on it. It’s dead for sure. Even knights. No problem. Doom and jinx is a death sentence.

No access to Shining Spears. Only what I have included above. Only bought the Warlocks and Farseer for pysker powers and CHE for a plane to add to my Quins.
