Subject: The Horus Heresy: Legions – Warhammer 40K CCG for mobile – out on iOS & Android
From Everguild and Games Workshop comes The Horus Heresy: Legions, a collectible card game where your actions lead to real consequences, available now on iOS and Android.
FEATURES
Enter the 31st Millennium: Based on the New York Times bestselling novel series, discover The Horus Heresy, one of the richest settings in the vast Warhammer 40,000 universe.
There is only War: Build a deck of unstoppable Space Marines to take part in quick, brutal online duels. Lead your Legion with warlords such as Loken, Khârn, Fulgrim and many other iconic characters as you relive the battles that tore apart the Imperium of Mankind.
Warrior Lodges: gather your battle-brothers and form a Lodge to take part in epic Events where the winning Faction secures a permanent, game-changing reward!
The game features several twists on the CCG formula and perfectly captures each Legion's personality through gameplay.
INTRODUCING A NEW LEGION: THE IRON HANDS
Play our new Event 'An Error of Judgement' to earn Iron Hands cards!
Renowned for their pride, cold-hearted warfare and remorselessness in battle, the Iron Hands were amongst the most powerful and famed Space Marine Legions of the Great Crusade. In gameplay, the Iron Hands feature unique mechanics mirroring their approach to warfare. Chief of all is their emblematic trait, Relentless, an ability that triggers at the start of every turn, allowing them to turn their momentum into an unstoppable charge impossible to resist.
The Iron Hands are the first Loyalist Legion entering the game to fight against the corrupt Warmaster. Three iconic warlords: of the Iron Tenth are leading the charge: Shadrak Meduson, Warleader of the Shattered Legions; Gabriel Santar, Captain of the Morlocks; and Ferrus Manus, the Primarch of the Iron Hands himself.
Against them are our four initial Legions, the perpetrators of the Isstvan III Atrocity: the World Eatars, the Death Guard, the Emperor's Children and the Sons of Horus.
More Legions will be added soon during our next series of Events based on the various stories about what happened on Isstvan V as told by the Black Library novels.
Let us know what you think!
More screens:
Each Legion can be lead by different Warlords, all of them fully voiced and taken from Horus Heresy lore.
Android players may join the game's ongoing Open Beta now and keep all their cards and progress for the full release.
Over 300 cards including support cards from the Imperial Army, the Mechanicum and Chaos.!

That's a great question! All Primarchs in the game at the moment have 40 health and a special card that is unplayable until certain conditions are met.
To balance this, a Primarch's special card, called Whispers of Chaos for Traitor Primarchs and Reckoning for Loyalists, always starts in their hand and cannot be swapped in the mulligan phase; this means they effectively begin their games with one card less. Opponents can then play around each Primarch's card trigger conditions to delay or impede their use.
Ferrus Manus has to balance the use of his skill, which helps keeping his troops alive, with his condition to trigger his Reckoning, which requieres that his Iron Hands troops die.
We're delighted to see many Ferrus vs Fulgrim matches playing out in our current Event, based on the meeting in the Anvilarium when the Phoenician tried to sway the Gorgon to the Warmaster's cause. Ferrus players are pretty happy to be changing history and how that first fight between the brothers turned out. Fulgrim players are as happy repeating history again, knocking Ferrus with Forgebreaker over, and over, and over...

New idea for you guys - "Double Down" mechanic. Offer a chance to "double down" in an Event once you've won 5 matches. After that point, any loss will take you out of the event, but your victory will earn you double!
Another thing - it would be really awesome to be able to see how each Primarch's "Whispers/Reckoning" works. As it stands, when you first face a Primarch, there is no clue as to how that functions and how to play around it. When I first saw "Reckoning", it meant nothing.

That sounds nice, but what you ended up doing is taking Fabius Bile, making his ability better in all ways (remove randomness, remove stun, always +1/+2) and giving him 5 more health, in exchange for a card that gives him 10 more health and a new ability in the late game. Saying that's a downside is like saying any other 10 power card is a downside because you can't use it till later. It's not like Ferrus' opponents can choose not to kill his troops (and still hope to win). It's not like Angron where the opponent can actively work to not put him at 1 life, or Fulgrim where you can play to not let him attack you.

I played a Vulkan vs Vulkan match. It took forever.

Vuklan's reckoning just makes it so you have to plan out the kill shot on him. As a regular user of Vulkan at the top of Terra, I lose matches with him all the time.

Vulkan+Reckoning in constructed is not a big deal. Vulkan in the Event? Giant PITA. About the only thing worse is the combo of the guy that grants Survivor 1 and the Front Line guy that has Sacrifice - Stun All Enemies. Most of the event decks only have like 1 or 2 cards to break that lock.
