Hi I am thinking about buying a scion box and wanted to ask if you can make a 100 point killteam from one box if yes how? I sadly do not have the book yet

1 Box will get you the better part of a killteam, you'd need another scion box or some normal guardsmen to fill out the rest of the killteam. If all you want to do is maximise you're point usage with that single box build yourself a tempestor with powerfist and plasma pistol and build all the scions as Scion Gunner's equipped with special weapons. iF you want to be able to use them in normal 40k just build them as a regular squad (2 special weapons, 2 hot shots 1 tempestor), they'll still be worth a decent chunk of points.

Honestly though if you're planning to run an all scion killteam you'd be best off buying a second box, gets you all the way up to the point's limit and gives you extra models to put vox caster's and specialisms on.

5 Scions, with upgrades, will put you a hair over 50 points. You'll need a second box of Scions or a 10-man box of Guardsman to fill out your Killteam.

Thanks for both if your advice. I only wanted to use them for killteam. Do specialist upgrades cost points?

Specialist upgrades don't cost points at level one. Only at levels 2-4 do they start increasing in points value.

And, you can only use levels 2-4 in Narrative and open games.

If the truth can destroy it, then it deserves to be destroyed.

We will probably only play open and narrative just like regular 40k
