Your strategy: The venoms with Cabalites rush up and deal with light chaff so the scourges can hit the big things. The ravagers hit the medium chaff.

You have 16 command points. You use them to link fire offensively and to jink your flying vehicles and use agents of vect defensively.

So suppose you target an imperial knight. You deny it the rotation of its ion shields and link fire. About 12 shots (4 per fire prism), about 11 hits, about 10 wounds, about 6 failed saves, about... 12 damage? That's all? Check my math, will you? I was expecting a dead knight.

Doom plus haywire.

Recheck your math against knights with d3 (extra) mortal wounds on a 6 from haywire. Rerolling wounds.

I think the fire prisms are by far your weak link here. If I were playing against you I would just ignore your fire prisms and focus down your ravagers and scourges. I think the fire prisms would be better off replaced by some combination of 3 x 3 dark reapers or 3 x 3 shining spears and some eldar or dark eldar fliers.

Another thought is that you could drop your dark eldar detachment down to a battalion to clear up the points to make your craftworlds detachment a battalion of 3 x 5 Rangers with a farseer and warlock. The rangers' infiltrate ability would give you a lot of tactical flexibility during deployment. Especially to block the movement of units like aggressors and blood angels captains that are placed before the first game turn.

I think your list is great despite the fire prisms. Doom + haywire seems like it will solve most of your AT problems.

Best of luck to ya! Its good to know that the other half of the species enjoys this game as well!

Agreed

OP: 3 squads of rangers, a warlock and 6 reapers + exarch will cost the same as your current detachment as a consideration. You'd have to actively try to spend CP but you'd have doom and runes of witnessing off incredibly consistently.

Alternatively, pick up 400 points of reapers for fun? List looks very solid.

If you're going to have Doom, then you may as well have Jinx for Imp Knight targets. The odds/math gets its saves down from 50% to 33%, assuming you've used Agents of Vect to stop the +1 Invuln strategem.

Further, if you have the dudes, I would ditch 2 venoms to fill the Elite slots with better fire power, instead of the 3 token Lhameans. I would have 3 sets of Trueborn in (fitting 2 into) venoms, with the concentrated 4 blasters there, instead of piece meal in kabalite units. You'll keep the brigade. I know this might mean a that 3rd set of trublasters on the ground (depending on points), but they're Move and 18" range ought to be good enough to do secondary work of what the other 2 don't kill.

With Imp Ks looming larger and ugly, I've dropped one of those and added farseer, warlock & token rangers ... I will see how this does in the up coming local GT.

I am pretty sure you cant use court of the archon to fill elite slots for a brigade anymore. since the codex dropped you can only take court if you have an archon and if you have an archon they never count towards their detachment slots.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Going through the ETC lists a few eldar brouhgt the tripple prisms to fight the knight meta but most opted for flyers. crimson hunters/excharchs, voidraven bombers, razorwings and here and there a hemlock. oh and many harlequin starweavers with their big haywire cannons.

I belive that is correct. Court doesn't count towards the slots. Doesn't make sense to go for a brigade anyway since you can easily take a second batallion of eldar and have units that are actually useful rather than filler kabalites, archons, and whatever elite choice.
