Hail warlords.
I. Need help with this hammer an anvil list. I want it to be as competive as possible without the cheese.
Tactics are simple.
The kreig move up the board taking and holding objectives and holding the line. The combat engineers+officer and wolves all start in reserve to outflank the enemy. Ragnar pops out with the blood claws and plasma greys to give them safe overcharged plasma then re roll charge range for the alpha charge to kill what survives. The meltagun greys and arjac can emerge with ragnar or anywhere they are needed. Combat enginners and officer where needed.
Its flexible that i can destory back lines of mixed armies or delay melee armies or disrupt shooting armies. Sometimes i can move up one side of the table to draw in melee armies or have shooting arnies move down the other flank so my. Units can pop out to gey them and kick them off objectives.

Good day. Excuse me for my grammar - I was drinking vodka with my friends instead of English lessons. I am also trying to make list consist of wolves and krieg. Here re few questions: why do you need arjac if there aren t any wolf guard units?

Your grammer is fine my alchohic friend lol.
The reason i took him is because i was going to use a terminator battle leader for the wound reroll and arjac. Is alot better for not much More points. Damage reducton throwable hammer re roll against characters and monsters. Also he buffs the wgpls(i think).

hello again. May be you should wait for codex of SW (if you haven't it yet) and then make a roster. Some combinations can be really good such as rune priest s bubble - I know it s not what you want probably but you don't have psychic at all. Automatically Appended Next Post: I also don't like big packs of our troop, I d prefer elite "hammer" as you say such as wulfens with wolf priest on jump packs with Njal in TDA and may be anything else to deep strike and krieg as "anvil" with their troop spam and tanks - that s what I m thinking about.

Your right. Just with what i know now I'm going to really re work the wolves. .garrenteed to have lots of th/ ss terminator wgpl s in the troops so more likely to get some great lone Wolves. In.the meantime What do you make of the dkok?

Actually for Krieg now I have only few leman russes and they arent mars-alpha) It s difficult to find original miniatures of forge world so this situation force me to be a pirate if you know what I mean) But I m thinking of 3 packs of troops three lemans and heavy weapon squads with mortars and two squads consists of 2 las and 1 heavy bolter. May be some engineers in himera. That s what I m thinking about with my wolves (wulvens, blood claws, wolf priest in stormwolf, then I drop Njal in TDA and cast any spell with strategem -1 to hit and now my plane almost unhittable (not sure about existance of this word))) May be something else of wolves. I really loved ven dread with axe and shield but now with It s losing of 3++ It became the most dissapointment thing of codex... I m just complaining - dont pay attention

You realise that you potentially just get board wiped since you have to few men on the board right?
I doubt it will happen but it could be a possibility.( i bring that up since i run a Airborne mechanized R&H guard, and got board wiped 1 time to many)
I am also surprised that you took veterans in a company command squad without equiping Special weapons or heavy weapons.
Don't bother with powersords. They are 4 pts wasted each time you take one, sadly, so long you don't have strentgh 4 or higher.
Flamers are also not worth their points. (i know the DkoK flamers look awesome but at this stage they do better for your nerves when you put them well painted on a display shelv, sadly i might add)
Additionally i approve of your profile pic.

The reason i didnt give them specisl weapond is because they are an easy target so all i need them for is the banner.
I. Thknk your right about the swords, venner has to have one but will work somthing out for the other one.
I thought flamers were good as i will be moving up close to take and hold objective and over watch. Do you think that grenade launchers would be better?
I havent the money for the offical krieg models so im converting them with green stuff from cadian models.

Sadly dont have plasma guns and krieg dont get frfsrf instead we get no mercy (lazguns become pistol2 for the turn)

Why pay 7 pts for a weapon with less power then 3,5 lasguns?
On average you make like with the launcher 3.5 hits.
It's the same problem really, now exemplified with the fact that you have to be in your enemies face.
Neither Flamers, nor nade launchers are worth it for AM units.
IF you took a R&H detachment and then made the maths however the nade launcher becomes actually worth it , whilest the flamer still struggles a bit.
It's kinda iffy, additionally the really short range is something of a massive hinderance, generally because not all units should get that close to you.

They are fair and balanced points. I still think that a flamer does more damage than the 1.2 lasgun guys i could get for the points of the flamer but we can put a pin in that. Any other points or advice?

space wolf troops are inferior to guard.
Take wulfen and heroes from space wolf, maybe play wolf guard bikers from the index. Add DkoK brigade.
For the cost of one SW troop here (200 each about), you could have 50 base guardsmen....
