Hey everyone so recently I have been trying to either trade or sell my old chaos army since I never play them anymore and would like to start collecting a new army. I’m just trying to see what the best course of action would be to do this I don’t have an eBay or PayPal account so that route would be more difficult to go down by advice would be appreciated .

Local meet up and trading here(other forums too) are your options. If you create a PayPal account you can try selling here.

Pretty much. If you plan on doing it online in any fashion you'll have to have a Paypal account. I sell a ton of second hand 40K stuff (my own and other peoples). The pecking order is basically:

1) New in box, expect 70% of MSRP
2) On sprue, expect 60-70% MSRP
3) Assembled, expect 40-50% MSRP
4) Painted, expect 30% MSRP unless you paint really well.
5) Painted really well and finished, up to 150-200% MSRP if you're good.

Locals will pay more than eBay sometimes (because you take it in the pants on eBay with fees and you're competing with people across the country for sales)

Having sold $15,000+ worth of 2nd hand 40K stuff in the past year or two, the worst thing you can do is have poorly painted stuff...it's really hard to shift.

I'd try to trade it off on dakka. I've done a few trades and they always end up going well.

Gets along better with animals... Go figure.

Why can't you get a PayPal account?

Also, just remember that 30% MSRP is a high-end goal that takes patience and searching for the right buyer. Most armies are worth more in the "I'll give you $20 for the whole army" range because of bad paint, poor assembly, broken parts, etc. If you want a quick sale expect almost nothing in return, you're pretty much paying someone to take junk off your hands asap.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Paypal accounts don't get long to setup, the longest part is when you link it to your bank account and you have to wait for it all to authenticate. A few days and you're all good to go.
