Adam Savage checks in on the status of sculptor Johnny Fraser-Allen's tabletop model, which has grown from the intricate Labyrinth we saw two years ago to a sprawling world steeped in fantasy architecture and landscapes that come alive. We're awestruck by the design and details of these models, which Johnny has brilliantly made to be modular and customizable. We can't wait to play in Hagglethorn Hollow!

Shot by Steve Unwin

A note from Johnny about the status of this model and kit:

Since the filming of this video the product has gone through significant development and after consideration to the market for this product, we have decided to release the range as physical products instead of 3D files. Get TTG updates on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/tabletoptroub...

Hagglethorn Hollow is coming to Kickstarter on September 26th 2018

..fair play indeed, that's really quite something.

Looking forward to the Kickstarter in September to get a better look at it all. Although I'm sure the price will probably lock me out of it, but the fantasy-castle version of the Millennium Falcon would be neat to see when it's finished.

They also released a miniatures game with customisable robots a while back (Giant Killer Robots - GKR ) that Adam is also a big fan of. They sent him a custom "Adam" bot and asked him to build one for them.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

It's genuinely stupendous, but it is a shame they've decided not to offer the STLs, much of the appeal behind the idea of making it a product was that it would be much more affordable than other modular systems and I very much doubt that will be the case if they're only selling it as physical casts.

Tell you what though, I'd pay actual proper money for a detailed step-by-step tutorial video on how he made those trees.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?

It's beautiful. Plus the ability to stack pieces together makes it even better.

Literally bought a 3D printer for it, so that I can buy the STL files.

best terrain I've ever seen TBH.

Fear it's a bit steep for my pockets, but I guess if one was in a regular group you could split it or whathaveyou.

Awesome stuff TBH.

I'm hoping they eventually do decide to sell the STLs as well.

I'd love to make a custom terrain and table setup for Mousillon campaigns using the Mordheim fan supplement, but it's not something I need so badly I can spend that much cash on it.

I'm the complete opposite. It looks like stuff for rich kids to display in their man caves, that has virtually no use in an actual game. The interiors are so small there's no real tactical movement choices. The windows are all shut, making it poor for those games that still use stupid TLOS. The outside doesnt have much in the way of ledges or fighting space either.

They're pretty LOS blockers, but grossly overpriced IMO.

These certainly have character, but are nowhere near the best on the market.

The scenery from Tabletop World is better in every way; detail, sculpting quality, realism and price.

Also, shouldn't this be in the News & Rumours section of the forum?
