This might not be the sport for this. If it is not I apologize. I have started the process of building a game table to play Warhammer on but need some advice on what to cover the wood with to provide a nice placying surface. I have heard people use speed cloth, felt, velveteen, etc. What does everyone use of find works best?

If you're not building a complex diorama or a set-piece, just build a 6x4 table (or buy two folding tables which make a 6x5 footprint) and then get a 6x4 neoprene gaming mat from any of the great manufacturers.

It's a bit more expensive but expedient and looks good.

Deep Cut Studios
Gamemat.eu
Urbanmatz

etc.

TN/AL/MS state line.

Depending on what terrain you want to use, I’d get textured spray paint from Lowe’s/Home Depot/whatever hardware store. Makes a quick and easy playing surface, although color are rather limited to tan/brown, grey, and red iirc.

Otherwise get some primer, color to whatever surface you want.

40k- The Kumunga Swarm (more)
Count Mortimer’s Private Security Force/Excavation Team (building)
Kabal of the Grieving Widow (less)

Plus other games- miniature and cardboard both.
