Just got my AT rulebook last night, digesting the rules. Since I already have a good-sized group of 1/100 tanks for Flames of War, thought I’d take a stab at statting up some super-heavies. I’d expect they use the same rules as Banner support, but they also cannot be given the Emergency Repairs, Charge or Shutdown order.

I don't think the old Epic models have it, but you can pay for it on the datasheets.
More vehicles incoming ...
Points haven't been playtested, weapons are based on some very preliminary comparisons to AT vs. Datasheet weapons. Any and all input would be GREATLY appreciated!

I think you're underselling the strength of a battlecannon. The RF battlecannon on the knights is, what, Str 5 with 2 dice? So surely the baneblade cannon should be the same stength with 1 dice.
Is the demolisher really as powerful as a lascannon? I'm not sure it should be. I'd make that that 1 dice with Str 4 tbh.
EDIT: I also wonder about the points cost. Without an ion shield, the super-heavies (shouldn't) wont get a save against incoming fire. It's just hit roll then armour. They might be tough but they're going to suffer any serious weapon turned on them, even those weilded by a banner of knights. Maybe drop to 90 (30pts per tank) or even lower?

I’d also like to petition for the Shadowsword Volcano Cannon to be given the same stats as the Reaver one. Including Draining.
To support this I’d also like for Super-heavy Detachments to have an additional special rule:
Capacitor power banks: to fire a weapon with the Draining attribute, a Super-Heavy model must remain stationary during its movement phase. Additionally, Super-Heavy Detachments on First Fire orders may not select a Draining weapon to fire.
I also agree with Ecrivain; the Baneblade Cannon is supposed to be an even bigger battle cannon; it should be the equal of the RFBC at least.

On the subject of the sponsons, the Warlord mounts two twin lascannon in the rear arc, which don't have a profile of their own. They're covered by a special rule, aren't they?

I made the Shadowsword’s Volcano cannon deal less as in the 8E datasheets between the Reaver and the Shadowsword, the Shadowsword does less. The progression of 12 STR on the Warlord, 10 on the Reaver, 8 for the Shadowsword seemed “right”. I was actually surprised that the Shadowsword’s Volcano cannon does less damage than a Reaver’s version in the Imperial Armour datafaxes.
Likewise, rather than give the Shadowsword a draining effect, you’ll notice it’s rolling 1 dice - most of the other are getting 2 dice (replicating 2 shots w/ main weapons), so that accounts for the Shadowsword having to take a moment to charge the capacitors and such.
I’ll double-check the Battlecannon, but AT handles the damage wierdly - it looks like you 1/2 8E’s Strength for weapons with a Damage output of 3/D6. Can’t yet figure out any correlation to how they are determining number of dice for the attack.
The Warlord has a special defense system for enemies that get within 2” - I’m guessing that must be the lascannon system being referred to - I’ll go back and look at that.
Finally, remember WS isn’t the tank actually being in melee (and using Adamantium tracks) - The tanks are still using their ranged weapons at this range, just very, very close.

Yes, that's what I meant. Bear in mind that that represents two sets of twin-linked lascannons (and a pair of bolt cannons to the front), so dish out more fire than the sponsons on a Shadowsword.

The volcano cannon as an arm weapon only rolls 1 dice. That's not a capacitor issue, that's the way the game works. Only weapons firing multiple shots (like the RFBC) get more than once dice to roll.
I don't think you can do any sort of comparison to 8E for the weapon strength or the number of dice. This is a different game and they clearly do shooting differently. There's no specific formula, it's balancing against the rest of the system as a closed loop. Hence, weapons that fire one shot get 1 dice (volcano cannons, thermal cannons, quake cannons) while weapons that fire multiple shots get multiple dice whether it's through rapid-fire (like a vulcan mega-bolter) or being multi-tube (apocalypse launchers).
To be fair to you though, the volcano cannon as a Str 10 blast 3" weapon on the shadowsword seems a lot now that I think about it. Either they should be much more costly (perhaps 150 for 3 or even 200) or, as you went with, drop to Str 8 no blast.

Right, I see the problem. You’re trying to convert from 8e 40k. That’s not really going to work well, because the damage system is so different and because the various vehicles are (deliberately) balanced to account for the fact that they will mostly be shooting infantry and light vehicles rather than fellow super-heavies and god-engines.
If you must convert, I’d start from 5th/6th/7th edition and the Forge World books from back when they weren’t given two months notice to do a two year job.

Yes, that's what I meant. Bear in mind that that represents two sets of twin-linked lascannons (and a pair of bolt cannons to the front), so dish out more fire than the sponsons on a Shadowsword.
Okay, the Arden-Defensor system is 8” range, D3 auto hits @ STR 5. I think if anything, the sponsons should probably be STR 5, not 6.
Also, looking more at the Baneblade cannon I *think* it should be Dice:4, STR 5. Not too sure on the dice, though. I don't think you can do any sort of comparison to 8E for the weapon strength or the number of dice. This is a different game and they clearly do shooting differently. There's no specific formula, it's balancing against the rest of the system as a closed loop. Hence, weapons that fire one shot get 1 dice (volcano cannons, thermal cannons, quake cannons) while weapons that fire multiple shots get multiple dice whether it's through rapid-fire (like a vulcan mega-bolter) or being multi-tube (apocalypse launchers).
Ah, that makes a lot of sense, don’t know why that didn’t click.
Still, gotta start the comparison from somewhere - may end up with completely different values from 8E after some play testing, but needed a starting point

I'd be tempted to model the lascannon sponsons as a single shot, 360degree arc, Str 5, hitting on ... whatever you feel is appropriate. Longer range than 8", though.

Yeah, the 8" range is definitely based on the fact the Arden-Defensor system excelling at Overwatch (which you can't declare charges over 12" in 40K, and it looks like they take the Max Range, subtract 4", then divide it by 3 - which incidentally means all my ranges are a bit too far).
