Looking to build a fun but also competitive list revolving around mostly dreads. I can’t decide which chapter tactics will be better between Salamanders or Iron Hands. I’m leaning towards the free re rolls because everything is independent and will benefit from it. As always C&C is welcome.

Why are the heavy weapons on the regular dreads ? The contemptors are so much better, they hit on 2s, have 5+ inv sv, more wounds, move faster. Redemptor isnt good, no inv sv, dies quite quickly.

If you can scrounge the points, I would try to upgrade all the regular dreads to venerable dreadnoughts. 2+ to hit is going to benefit both IH and Salamanders significantly. Sure the IH tactic is wasted with the innate 6+ fnp but the ability to hit on 2's re-rolling 1's (with either captain support/Dread Strategem/or salamander CT) is very useful.

Well, I'd take a BA detachment with two smash Captains leading the Scouts.
