I am formulating a pure Tempestus Scions list which will include 3 Valkyries. The maximum amount of command points I could possibly get is 9. 5 from a battalion, 1 from the airwing, and the 3 you get from being battleforged. Question is, should I take all the Valkyries in a squadron, put them in an auxiliary, and only have 7, as I don’t get the one from the airwing, and I have to pay for the auxiliary. The advantage is three Valkyries in one drop, or the additional command points. Going first would probably help with the Scions, as well. Thoughts?

What do you think you'll be spending most of your CP on?

Couldn't you take the Valks as part of whatever detachment the Scions are part of? I'm pretty sure the "Advisors and Auxilia" rule means they wouldn't prevent the Scions from getting their doctrine.

Grenadiers, possibly fire on my position, inspired tactics, maybe take cover and superior intelligence. Possibly one to get a second artifact. And, of course, if I need it, re-roll a failed plasma shot.
