My idea is space marine x normal female romance cause Hollywood knows no other way to try and appeal to female movie goers

likely get stuck in dev hell for a decade and then realize a horriable movie with dated special effects and a horrid script.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I'd expect the garbage that was The Last Jedi but with slightly more grimdark.

Only slightly, too.

The hero would spend a bunch of time face-to-face with the villain, so they could talk with each other.

The movie's quality would not matter much on the internet. There would be 1000s of posts about how much it sucked and how it killed somebodies childhood, etc. The rage level would be somewhere between 4 pt guardsmen and women having speaking roles in Star wars.

yeah I tend to agree, Geeks are their own worst enemy in this regard. The Marvel films are a rare sucess where apparently people are willing to just have fun and not think too ahrd about it

Hating The Last Jedi has nothing to do with sexism. It was just a bad movie. I really liked The Force Awakens with the parallels to the original trilogy. However The Last Jedi was super bad (especially that horribly over-choreographed fight scene with the Guards).

Is this really a thing people talk about?

I kinda don't think it is. These threads sound more like complaints about generic Hollywood films. We get it, you're dissatisfied with modern cinema.

Have you tried Bollywood? There are actually some good films going around Netflix right now.

The most expensive gay porn film in history, with the climax (lol) being a scene involving an entire chapter of space marines. Hey, it's as realistic as any of the other suggestions this topic is going to generate.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Starring none other than the Dark Angels of course.
