I see a lot of people take helfrost on Bjorn, is there a reason you don't take the heavy plasma cannon? With his rerolls it's pretty safe to overcharge.

Honestly I really think it boils down to the points, Bjorn is already expensive as feth as it is, I mean I know its a 5 point difference but i find myself point pinching and the helfrost cannon is sorta just there to shoot when he can, I find myself running his ass into hordes and just fething gak up. I"m also a newer player so I could be playing him completely wrong.

Off the top of my head the plasma has similar potential damage but a touch more reliable. Given that you'd probably want to keep him behind other models to make use of his character status and hand out auras the extra 12 inch range on the plasma seems well worth it to me.

I'll deff look into it, and if i can move some points around i'll deff make some room for it and give it a whirl. You're deff right about the 12 inches being relevant. (amirite ladies?) Thanks! I'll see what i come up with!

Bjorn is a waste of points if he isnt your warlord.

Take a chaplain dread with twin las instead.

No tohit aura but cheaper and lethal. He can baysit the back and HI anything that gets close.

I would then on the hunt one whole battalion.

WHy is he a waste if he isn't the warlord, I'm just curious about the thought process behind that .

He isnt giving you his 1cp buff, he costs more and for what?

If you run him up the board then his reroll aura is useless, and whats he buffing with that aura anyway?

If you want a CC beast who can shoot a bit, take a cataphractii lord with relic gun and TH-wulfen stone or strike 1st one.

If you want real back line shooty you take a chap dread with beastslayer + armor russ supported by a wolf lord and battle leader and hellblasters or contemptor mortis and levi/deredeo(that setup deletes gak) you equip the lord and battle bro with th/ss and all 3 can HI anything that threatens your gunline and delete it before it can even attack usually(or force opp to spend 2 cp to try save his guy(s) by interrupting if whatever survives the 1st attack.

Bjorn is awesome but only for 3 scenario's as a warlord who can shoot and kill stuff easily in cc or as a hard hitting shooting warlord who buffs a gunline that isnt long fangs , lastly as a mobile buffing platform for razorback spam etc where your shooting is as mobile as bjorn.

Hahaha last edit: if its for fun then just disregard and run what you like. But for the above list Bjorn is wasted IMO. You could afford arjac and a runepriest or a whole other longfang+sumthing/wulfen squad.

I actually like the idea of Arjac and a rune priest with longfang or wulfen... I think i'll work on something along those lines. GGs! Thanks!

It is only 1 unit with 2 armigers in the Unit. That is allowed. They aren’t separate.

So played two armies this past week, did well in the war of attrition against Nurgles, but got decimated by an explosive Eldar list. Since then i've decided to adopt an explosive list myself that seems to fit more in the style that is Space Wolves. As much as I love my wolf head Armigers i'm going to drop them for some faster more explosive starts. I'm going to try and mimic the explosiveness of the eldar, (i know its not that easy since i don't have soul burst or strategems that allow me to charge and advance) but i'll make do with what I have. My new list will be going up soon and i'd love to hear some feedback on it.
