Hello all. I am participating in an escalation league and just finished our 750 pts week. We are increasing by 250 pts each week which means we will be at 1000 pts and I am not sure where to go. Below is the list I brought for 750 pts (with help from the community). My first thought is to increase to unit of 29 pink horrors to 30 and then bring a second unit of 30 pink horrors with a banner and then bolster the brimstones with the remaining 19 points. There are a few caveats to the 1000 pts list. I am also going to list the models I have.

- It can only be patrol or battalion at this level
- Because I started with Tzeentch Daemons I must always have one detachment of Tzeentch Daemons, but I can bring other factions
- No Lords of War yet
- It must include at least half the units from the previous point list. In this case 375/1000 points must come from the 750 pts list.
- ITC rules
- Scorched Earth is the mission
- WYSIWYG is not required but encouraged and proxy is ok (within reason)

I also have the Dark Imperium box set so I have all of those Death Guard models plus Typhus, a Nurgle Daemon Prince, and a Plague Burst Crawler. Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

How did the 750 point list do? Did my advice help win you any games?

I won! Thank you! (I posted in the other thread as well) Played Resupply drop against necrons and won 6-2. I got both objectives - he got first blood and warlord. I made a mistake and got the pink horrors too close and he was able to get them tied up in close combat to keep them from shooting a second time. From there we just kind of kept each other tied up in close combat till near the end when my Exalted Flammers ran away to the objectives but since they had faster moves I was able to capture both. We increase to 1000 pts next week - what do you think about the 1000 pts increase? The other thought would be to not bring so many pink horrors - maybe 25 and 25 (or whatever the math works out to be) and an extra Exalted Flammer?

This is what I came up with quickly. Same idea as the first by not giving the opponent anything worthy to shoot at. Doubling down with the Pink Bomb. Remember to drop them exactly 12” away and when the opponent selects a pink unit to shoot remember to pop the strat to give them a 3++ save for that round. Since you can only target one unit of pinks a turn with the shooting buff. I decided to bring along a guy in disc to blast our mortal wounds and possibly get the pinks to S5

Seems a good list, it's quite close to the Tzeentch battallion I sometimes run. I have a couple of thoughts , although not sure if you can have a battallion AND a patrol. If you can the only thing this list is lacking is some good anti tank. If you can call that axe Daemon Prince khorne. I would put him in a patrol with some of the horros and give him the skullreaver relic. It's unbelievable vs. Armour and nearly broken vs titanic stuff (when that gets introduced).
I would drop the second changecaster and rearrange you pinks to be a unit of 30 and a unit of 20. Deep strike the 20 horrors in t2 and they'll still get 60 shots. Hopefully you can get your fluxmaster close enough to buff and cast flickering flames. I'd probably take that 3rd Daemon Prince over the Exhalted Flamers, I always find them underwhelming, but i guess that's personal preference.

What are you guys thoughts on the Changling? 100 pts for a psyker that gives a 9” bubble of 6+ feel no pain? That would be in addition to a 4++ or 3++ w/ strat or mmpossible robe. It would drop me down to 48 pink horrors though.

I am thinking I would update the pink horrors to be 2 units of 28 and 20, drop them in turn 2, and use the strategem of +1++ on the unit of 28. This would make them a unit of 28 4s/3t with a 3++ and a 6+ feel no pain. In addition, they would be re-rolling 1s of hits and wounds due to the DP and Warlord traits. There is also a chance they could get either +1s or +1t from boon of change.
