Wanted to use all my autocannons in a list while having two battalions, no cultists (don't have any, never will) and some dreadnoughts. Here's what I'm going to run up at my FLGS next week.

Grabbing objectives with boots, screening with boots, shooting with autocannons and heavy bolters and a few melee dreads with guns to give the enemy something to shoot at other than the preds (and a slight melee threat).

Looks great sitting on the table and fits the Iron Warriors well I think.

Thoughts?

I feel a bit sad for the lords at 74pts for bolt pistol and chainsword, at least the champs get a real bolter. I'd probably swap all the bolt pistols for chain axes, give the lords combi-bolters to quadruple their damage, downgrade a power scourge to a missile launcher to do it. Too bad you can't have reaper autocannon and twin heavy bolter on opposite arms. Probably a battletech lawsuit if they did though.

I understand you don't want any cultists, but I wouldn't play that many basic Space Mareeeens anyway... Battalion+Spearhead+Spearhead sounds like a better choice to me.

I feel like this list could really use some Sorcerers in there instead of one or two of the Lords to help support the guns a bit more with the very good Dark Hereticus spells

Prescience on the squad that will be using Endless Cacophony
Death Hex to take away any pesky invulnerable saves vs a nearby unit you need to kill.
Delightful Agonies to make a squad a bit more durable
Warptime to get a squad to an objective quickly
etc

Even just a Sorcerer with Delightful Agonies and Prescience would help a lot, and if you need a different power you can use the familiar stratagem to get it.
