Here's my latest T'au creation that I might take to a GT next month if I can get it painted in time. The event will use ITC rules and missions.
Battalion: T'au Sept
Cadre Fireblade: Warlord (Trait: Through Unity, Devastation), Puretide Engram Neurochip
Commander in XV86 Coldstar: 4x Fusion Blaster
10 man Strike Team with Rifles
5 man Strike Team with Rifles
5 man Strike Team with Rifles
XV104 Riptide: Heavy Burst Cannon, 2x Smart Missile System, Target Lock, Velocity Tracker
XV104 Riptide: Heavy Burst Cannon, 2x Smart Missile System, Target Lock, Velocity Tracker
Tactical Drones: 6x Shield Drone
XV88 Broadside Battlesuits: 2x Broadside, each with 2x High-yield Missile Pod, 2x Smart Missile System, Velocity Tracker
Battalion: T'au Sept
Cadre Fireblade
Darkstrider
5 man Strike Team with Rifles
5 man Strike Team with Rifles
5 man Strike Team with Rifles
Outrider: Bor'kan Sept
Ethereal
Firesight Marksman
XV109 Y'vahra: Target Lock, Early Warning Override
Tactical Drones: 4x Shield Drone
Tactical Drones: 4x Shield Drone
Total 1998 points, 14 CP, 18 drops
Ethereal is in the Bor'kan detachment because his abilities are not Sept-locked. Firesight Marksman is in there so his Markerlight has a little more range than the ones on the Fireblades and Darkstrider. Not sure I need the Puretide chip since CP regeneration got nerfed in Big FAQ 2, but since it only works on 6's anyway I figure some regen is better than none. I might spend a CP to give the Coldstar the T'au sept relic Thruster thingy so he can "shoot and scoot". I am a little concerned that I may not have enough drones to protect everybody, and I would totally take a third Riptide to replace those Broadsides (which would free up enough points for more drones), but I don't have a third one currently and I like an excuse to get my Broadsides out anyways.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

You going to dedicate 8 shield drones to y'vahra and only 6 to 2 riptides and two broadsides? Doesn't seem like enough for the latter and too many for the former.

While I have found that my Y'vahra seems to catch a LOT of aggro, I do agree with your statement. I'm not sure what to cut to get more drones in, though. Maybe if I dropped some FW from the big unit, I could get a couple more in. I need 2 units in the Outrider so that I have 3 FA choices.

Simply don't make it a outrider, build it as something else that cares little about spet and then you can drop the Y'varha into the borkan detachment.

I feel that Y'vahra's need to be a Bork'an and on top of costing 130 more points than a HBC riptide and being only short range really makes it a less than optimal choice. You could drop it rework your list for and make all tau sept and add a a third broadside for greater use of C&C strategem and a third riptide.

Just to note, I think y'vahra is amazing, however its very difficult to make a multiple sept list workable with it, not impossible though.
