Hey all,

I haven't won a single game in 8th edition yet and am looking for feedback. I have tried alpha legion, death guard, thousand sons, and some others. Ive had close losses and being tabled. Ive taken lists I didn't expect to win, but now I am looking for a more semi-competitive list. All advice, guidance, and feedback welcomed. Both lists are black legion

Gives me 11 command points to burn through with Vets and Cocophony for the bikes to double tap and then the terminators to do the same with abbadon. If I cant keep the chosen near the prince or abby, use the reroll 1's Black legion stratagem. Not sure if using the predator is better than making my bikers shoot better and have Feel no Pain. Ive thought of oblitz, but using them makes it slightly more difficult to keep half of my points on the board.

Termintaros are a huge point waste, get rid of them.

Why field Chosen when Havocs are cheaper and can do the same plasma shenanigans?

bikers are overpriced and have problems with ruins.

Why even bother with 5 man marine squads, when 10 cultists are cheaper and bring more presence on the board, additionally tide of traitors still is amazing and a cultist blob prfoits more from abbadon.

I havnt tried terminators at all this edition and figured the double tap plasma in range would be nice.


Only picked chosen to get more special weapons. I could swap the Vanguard to Spearhead and take two squads for more plasma, especially if I drop the terminators.


The thought was to spread out my heavy weapons across more squads while camping backline objectives. I only own 30 cultists and 40 (I think) poxwalkers. I have heard good things about the cultist blob and abby, I just havnt had the chance to try it, nor the models. But I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the info!
