In My Lab

So, I had someone in my local GW claim that the new FAQ limits you to a max of ONE allied army. I can't find that anywhere, but maybe I'm blind?

Is he crazy? Am I?

No, there's no "max of one ally" in any GW publications right now. In fact, the idea of Allies doesn't even exist, and is just short-hand for what we describe armies composed of factions that only share a single keyword in common (such as Imperium or Chaos). I think this person needs to show their proof - burden is on them here.

Thank you! The only thing I was thinking is Battle Brothers (which is official now, right?) but that doesn't do what they say.

Thank you! The only thing I was thinking is Battle Brothers (which is official now, right?) but that doesn't do what they say.
Correct, the more restrictive Battle Brothers rule is now a full fledged Errata to the Matched Play Rules.

Was this guy only playing 1000 point games under Organized Play rules? You'd only get two detachments at 1000 points with those rules, so you'd only be able to get one "ally" (sharing a common faction keyword) at that point level.
