I don't own the Space Wolf codex so no clue on theirs, but how would you rank the Astartes, non Forgeworld, flyers? I want the Corvus near the top but it really doesn't perform well for me. Dark talon has to be high, even with the points bump.

Probably Dark Talons, especially in combination with a Dark Shroud and the new cover-strat. Makes them fairly survivable first turn, I think. Hurricane Bolters and some Mortal Wound potential is a good output.

A single Stormraven should also pretty decent still, especially for Ultramarines. Tigurius can give it another -1 to hit, cover-strat against alpha strike and Guilliman for re-rolls.

Dark Talons also have the advantage that you can deploy them next to a Darkshroud to help them survive turn 1.

That's actually a pretty big deal!

The space wolf flyer is the best without question. It will get bumped in points though.

Stormhawks are decent.
StormRavens are pretty good too.

The Space Wolf one has...(or can have) a heinous amount of firepower. It is the highlight of what I think GW did horribly wrong with flyers.

I want to buy a Stormraven but it seems so fragile for the amount of points you spend. Firepower is great though, and since I would be running it with Dark Angels, the additional -1 to hit from a darkshroud wouldn't hurt.
My big concern would be the contents, especially if rolling a few ones when shot down to lose expensive Deathwing Knights. I guess you could pick up a few Acolytes in an allied detachment with Inquisitor, throw them in the flyer and let them take the fall if it crashes

You got that right about storm ravens. VERY frail for their cost.

Best to think of it as a flying tank and not a transport. It will be the opponents first target almost certainly.

I've had decent, not good or bad performance with the storm hawk interceptor. Works pretty well against DE transports and such. But it's going down next turn so try to take out something worth more points, which you probably won't.

I've never got to use the infernum halo-launcher special rule...

Well honestly, the Repulsor seems to be the best.

@OP Why aren't you including Forgeworld flyers? Are you that scared of the Arvus Lighter?

Don't really care much for Forgeworld. GW overpriced enough as is.

The StormTalon Gunship seems like it's about on-par with a Land Speeder on a point-for-point basis if you're taking the decent guns. Although having a minimum 20" move on a unit who's main gun is 24" is lol-zy.

I've found Storm Ravens are similar to Land Raiders. Either one of those units blown up with ease turn 1, or sticks around and is a nuisance all game

As long as we're talking about them, has anyone had any success with the Storm Talon or Stormhawk? It seems like the hawk would be helpful against all those flying xenos tanks.
