My brother has recently bought the audio book 'Helsreach' and he loved it. He wants to get another audio book but I don't what I should suggest next. I had a few ideas in mind.

1. The eisenhorn books are an amazing books series IMHO and they are on audio.
2. He greatly enjoyed the action scenes, so perhaps another space marine book would be best. What would be the next best space marine book?
3. He has also read a few of the Horus Heresy books in the past and is looking to catch up. What are the HH audio dramas? Are they different from regular audio books?

Do you have a personal favourite, or examples of which ones to avoid? What has been your experience? Your opinions, answers and advice are greatly welcome.

Regarding Horus Heresy, as far as I'm aware, there are two types of audio books: short stories and full blown books that have been put to audio format.

As for the short Horus Heresy stories, there's no need to buy them separate any more, as Black Library is releasing combined volumes soon. They are pretty good from what I've listened (both Blackshields, Binary Succession)

The voice acting for Horus Rising and False Gods was superb. Legion is pretty self contained and had the most memorable voice acting I've heard yet and is my #1 recommendation. Also, the short story "The Last Church" though I think it spans the length of about an hour, it should NOT be missed in audio book form imo.

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.
