Maybe or repackaged to 32mm base. Presumably they still are codex so one way or another they are coming on sale unless GW plans to use basic boyz as kommandos with Official Conversion Guide now that basic boyz are going to die swift dead in play.

I would be happy for plastic commandos... but it would be surprising to me for them to redo that before all the HQs

Plastic Commandos would be magnificent. The chances are nearly zero, however.

Maybe the mould broke and they simply can't make any more.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

They added them to the recent KT book. I would not be too much worried, in case just hopeful for the plastics.

Generic characters disappearing? Elite units of your army losing options and customizations? No longer finding that motivation to convert?
Your army could suffer Post-Chapterhouse Stress Disorder (PCSD)! If you think that your army is suffering one or more of the aforementioned symptoms, call us at 789-666-1982 for a quick diagnosis!

Reason i think something more is getting done with the kommandos is becuase they are completely removed from the site not just the temp out of stock there is for boys and such

Yes - Eldar Rangers and Lictors, for example.
