Okay, so how's this for a plan (evil or awful?)

Basically a thousand point game, or 50PL. Thoughts? And this isn't for tournaments, just play with friends. They know I have the Kytan and want to field it.



So, I know a competent general can make any list work; can anyone see any holes at a low point game? I'm figuring with decent command points, a big titanic nasty, and two heroes that can buff it, I've got a solid low point army.

So...nobody has any thoughts? Awful, evil, go-jump-off-a-bridge?

Your Prince will get more mileage out of Skullreaver than those Letters ever will out of the Crimson Crown.
If EVERY SINGLE ONE of your Letters attacked at once and were all in range of the Crown, you'd statistically get 10 extra attacks, with 6 hits, and 2-4 wounds. NOT. GREAT.

Compare that to the Prince himself with the relic Axe, who averages (with 6 attacks in the first round) 13.6D against T7 (or 17 against T5 and lower), all the way up to a whopping 36D.

I actually had the crown planned to sit in the backfield w/the Kytan, dishing out a ton of long range hits, then BL’s benefiting from it once the enemy closed, if at all.

Sorry, my math was wrong up top, I was thinking Crown granted extra hits on hits, rather than wounds. The math is down to 6.67 extra attacks rather than 10.

And that Khytan is going to get...1? extra attack each turn? If you're lucky? It's actually like 0.88 extra attacks per turn, for a grand total of 5.3 over the course of six turns (assuming the Khytan survives the entire game).

I don't understand how that translates into "a ton of long range hits".

If you like the model, go for it. But be aware there are much better synergies you could be going for...or even just better models.
Imagine what sort of Knight you could get for 500pts.
